Following on from yesterdays Apple Event, Sophos have released the following statement in advance of the release of macOS Big Sur on November 12th - "The current version of Sophos Endpoint Protection is not compatible with the upcoming release of Apple macOS Big Sur. Upgrading to macOS Big Sur will result in endpoint protection being disabled. We strongly recommend that customers do not upgrade any macOS clients running Endpoint Protection to macOS Big Sur at this time. We intend to release

In light of the updated recommendations announced by the Government on March 16th, we have taken the decision to initiate our Business Continuity plans, which will see our teams across Lisburn, Peterborough and Glasgow transition to remote working as of March 17th 2020. This change will impact plans for our sales, account management, engineering and professional services teams, who will need to make alternative arrangements for on-site meetings, training and project implementations. | |

On Thursday, the Government's announcement confirmed that the United Kingdom moved to the delay phase, however the anticipated recommendations including school closures and the encouragement for staff to work remotely was not introduced. Update (13/10/18): Sophos have now released an Endpoint Defense update to address this issue. Once the automated update process completes, you will be prompted to reboot your device, however this isn't required for the fix to be applied.
