Adding 365 Calendar Permissions Via PowerShell
Posted by Martin Brannigan on 12/09/22 16:16
  1. Open up PowerShell as administrator.
  2. Enter in command line -  Connect-ExchangeOnline
  3. Sign in with the 365 credentials for the customer
  4. Depending on permissions, there is two ways this can be done.

I am using myself and Conor as an Example.

This example below would be if Conor needed access to view my calendar:

Add-MailboxFolderPermission -Identity "Martin Brannigan:\Calendar" -User "Conor Flanagan" -AccessRights Reviewer

This example below would be if Conor needed access to view my calendar and make changes:

Add-MailboxFolderPermission -Identity "Martin Brannigan:\Calendar" -User "Conor Flanagan" -AccessRights Editor

5. To confirm the permissions are correct, run this command after and it will give you a list off users who have access to the calendar and their rights:

Get-MailboxFolderPermission -Identity “Martin Brannigan:\Calendar" | ft Identity,FolderName,User,AccessRights
